Book Study

Book Study - Virtual

Neural Education is excited to announce our second annual book study.  Each year we highlight a different book that uses cutting edge Neural Science to apply in the classroom.

For the fall of 2022, Neural Education is leading a hands-on deep dive into What Happened to You?  Conversations on trauma, resilience, and healing by Bruce D. Perry MD, PhD Oprah Winfrey.

The book study meets virtually twice a month on Monday from October - December.  Each session, a section of the chosen book is reviewed with discussion and conversations with the hosting Neural Education Champion.

ALL educators welcome.  Joining the book study is free, but does require registration.

Our earliest experiences shape our lives far down the road, and What Happened to You? provides powerful scientific and emotional insights into the behavioral patterns so many of us struggle to understand.

“Through this lens we can build a renewed sense of personal self-worth and ultimately recalibrate our responses to circumstances, situations, and relationships. It is, in other words, the key to reshaping our very lives.”―Oprah Winfrey

Each month we will dive into the featured Neural Science book and explore the relevant and timely topic that can be applied to the classroom.   By participating you will:

  • learn how to apply the topics in the book
  • potentially earn clock hours (separate fee)
  • connect with like-minded educators

Neural Education is THE thing - the thing that changed everything - the thing that returned my sanity - the thing that reignited my passion for teaching."
