Brains, Belonging, & Brilliance

Recently, Neural Education’s very own, Dr. Missy Widmann was interviewed by Dystanie Douglas-Berger and Jasmine Hauser from Cultures of Dignity. Cultures of Dignity is an organization that works with communities to shift how we think about young people’s physical and emotional well-being, and working within schools, they aim to honor the role young people play in building communities of dignity.

The two organizations have complementary missions. The ideas of treating people with dignity and building environments of belongingness are closely related to the neuroscience of learning. In a world where people seem continuously cognitively highjacked, learning how to center and calm the mind is foundation to building spaces in which people can come together for deeper understanding.
