Neuroscience of Equity
July 22 - 24, 2025
Pacific Lutheran University
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day
Explore the neuroscience of equity and the impact of inclusive environments
This three-day institute offers educators a deep dive into the neuroscience of equity, fostering a space for growth, challenge, and critical reflection. Using the Challenge Cycle learning structure, educators will analyze their mental models and identify areas for growth and change agency.
Exploring the neuroscience of equity requires grappling with complexity, uncertainty, and shifts in perspective. This institute provides a structured space for educators to investigate systemic barriers, challenge assumptions, and connect with a community committed to meaningful change.
Participants will:
engage in self-reflection and emotional processing to identify how their mental models and personal experiences influence their ability to foster equitable learning environments.
consider systemic barriers to equity and explore actionable strategies for creating transformative change within their educational contexts.
